Purchased the PS4 because my dedicated (Samsung) blu-ray player gave out and instead of replacing it with another, at an average cost of $199, I decided for $100 more I could get a Playstation 4. I could do some light gaming and have a blu- ray/ 4K player that may last as long as my PS3 I purchased back in 2003.
